China Love

The idea of this set of illustrations is if I want to open a restaurant, what I want to sell, and the style of its derivative products. I chose to open a Chinese restaurant and designed three mascots for it, and all the drawings are mainly centered around them. The little girl's name is Chun, and her partners are dragons and buns. I wanted to combine modern and ancient Chinese styles, so I chose more contrasting colors.

These are some of my product design sketches. The top left corner is the logo I was thinking of. It uses two Chinese characters: my last name and the Chinese word for food. They are written in Seal script (a style of writing Chinese characters familiar throughout the latter half of the 1st millennium BC). I wanted it to look like a seal, which is very important in Chinese painting.
